An invitation

There is a way of moving that asks nothing of you. A way of breathing that returns the body to its quieter self. For one whole day, among fields turning gold, we set down what we carry, and remember how to be unhurried.

The setting · Sherwood Farm, King City

Sherwood Farmin King Township.

We gather at Sherwood Farm, a private seventy-acre property in the rolling hills of King Township, about forty-five minutes north of Toronto. We practise in the hayloft, a two-thousand-square-foot timber barn strung with lights, and spill out to the grounds between sessions: the 1962 stone house, the gazebo, the forest walk, and a fire pit for the end of the day.

Your hosts

Hosted by Emilee& Cora.

Two teachers, one philosophy: that movement should leave you more yourself, not less. Emilee and Cora co-host this weekend together, sharing every practice. Hot yoga, yin, reduced-heat flows, reformer and mat pilates. Each session is co-led so guests can move between voices, cues, and styles without ever leaving the rhythm of the room.

Emilee Fridman

Hot Yoga · Yin · Reformer & Mat Pilates

Emilee has spent the past decade studying the quieter traditions of yoga and pilates: vinyasa rooted in breath, the slow art of yin, and apparatus and mat pilates that build precision without strain. Her work draws from time spent in Costa Rica, Montreal, New York, Toronto, and the Canadian wilderness she calls home. She designs each retreat as a sanctuary: small in number, generous in space, and shaped around the rhythm of the people who arrive.

Cora Timofte

Hot Yoga · Yin · Reformer & Mat Pilates

Cora teaches the same range: hot yoga, yin and reduced-heat flows, reformer and mat pilates, with a precision that has made her one of Toronto's most sought-after instructors. Disciplined, intentional, and deeply curious about how the body wants to move, she meets each guest where they are.

Past retreats

Where we'vebeen.

Emilee and Cora have been hosting retreats together for years: a surf week on the Pacific coast of Guatemala, winter weekends in the Haliburton Highlands, autumn days at Sherwood Farm, and a yoga-and-massage class that returns to the studio every season. Small groups, private chefs, and the same two voices in the room. The next weekend retreat is in the works. Tell us you're interested and you'll hear first.

Practical things

Questions, answered.

Yes. Every practice is offered with options, and the small group lets Cora and Emilee meet each guest where they are. Curiosity matters more than experience.
